Nebraska WIC, located in Wood River, NE, is dedicated to fostering the health and well-being of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years of age. Our Women, Infants, and Children Supplemental Food Program focuses on promoting nutritious food habits through comprehensive nutrition education, the provision of supplemental foods, and breastfeeding promotion and support. We also connect families with vital health care resources. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to offer our essential services without requiring in-person visits, ensuring that families can still access healthy food options. Even temporary changes in income may qualify families for our program, reflecting our commitment to supporting those in need during these challenging times.
