About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Yutan, NE is dedicated to nurturing advocates and educators who champion a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program offers a tuition-free opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in comprehensive organic food system education at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA. Over a six-month immersive experience, participants will explore innovative practices in crop cultivation, community gardening, and food literacy, alongside local partnerships that enhance food distribution and accessibility. Following this enriching training, Fellows will embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings. Applications are accepted through March, with the Fellowship taking place from May to October, welcoming those eager to make a meaningful impact in food assistance and health within their communities.
