About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Auburn, NH, offered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for an equitable food system. We provide a comprehensive educational experience, free of charge, allowing selected Fellows to engage deeply with the principles of social, environmental, and economic justice within food systems. Over a six-month immersive program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, community engagement, and food education. Following this, our Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and supporting farmers markets. We are committed to increasing access to healthy food and fostering food literacy in our communities, ultimately preparing our Fellows to inspire and lead meaningful change in the food landscape of our region.
