Fellows actively support local farmers markets and work with community coalitions, all while mentoring upcoming cohorts. Following their initial training, participants enter a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations to foster greater access to healthy foods and promote sustainable practices. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience typically spanning from May to October.
