About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Belmont, NH, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Our program empowers Fellows with the knowledge and skills to advocate for food practices that are socially, environmentally, and economically just. We provide comprehensive, hands-on training in organic agriculture, enabling participants to grow and distribute diverse crops while engaging in community initiatives such as maintaining gardens and conducting educational workshops. Additionally, Fellows support local farmers markets and work to enhance access to healthy foods. Our six-month immersive experience at AMI’s Allegheny Farm culminates in a Community Action Year, where alumni can apply their learning with regional non-profit organizations. We are committed to ensuring that our Fellowship is accessible to all, charging no tuition and encouraging applications by March each year for experiences from May to October.
