About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Concord, NH, empowers aspiring leaders to transform our food system into one that is just, sustainable, and accessible for all. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this unique fellowship offers a half-year of immersive, hands-on education at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where participants learn about organic farming and food justice. The program emphasizes practical skills, enabling Fellows to engage with communities through initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, facilitating educational workshops on health and nutrition, and maintaining school gardens. Additionally, Fellows play a vital role in supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods through innovative distribution channels, promoting community food coalitions, and mentoring future cohorts. With no tuition fees, we prioritize inclusivity and make it feasible for dedicated individuals to step forward as advocates for a healthier, more equitable food system. Applications are accepted through March for the program that typically runs from May to October each year.
