About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Conway, NH, cultivates a new generation of advocates and educators dedicated to fostering a food system that is just, sustainable, and environmentally responsible. This empowering program offers comprehensive organic food system education without tuition costs, ensuring it remains accessible to all participants. Our Fellows engage in hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm, where they grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care education, maintain community and school gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy within local curricula. Additionally, they play vital roles in supporting farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, developing distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods, and mentoring the next cohort of Fellows. Each selected Fellow embarks on a transformative six-month experience followed by a Community Action Year, working closely with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills and knowledge in meaningful ways. Applications are open until March for experiences running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in building resilient food systems.
