About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Danville, NH, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers a transformative six-month experiential learning journey at the picturesque Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows gain hands-on training in organic food systems and engage in innovative community initiatives. Our mission emphasizes accessibility as we do not charge tuition, empowering individuals to grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into educational activities. As part of their journey, Fellows also lead efforts to boost direct-to-consumer food programs and support local farmers markets. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills in partnership with regional non-profits to ensure healthy food access and sustainable practices thrive in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
