The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Epping, NH, cultivates a new generation of advocates dedicated to creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through immersive training and hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm, this fellowship offers participants a unique opportunity to engage in organic food system education without the burden of tuition fees, ensuring access for all aspiring fellows. During this transformative six-month program, fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, maintain community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into local schools. They also engage with farmers markets and develop channels for enhancing access to healthy food. After their fellowship, graduates enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to put their skills into practice and support community food initiatives. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the fellowship experience beginning in May.
