About Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
In Hanover, NH, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide comprehensive food assistance and nutrition education, actively promoting breastfeeding and offering essential support to mothers. Through WIC, families receive supplemental foods and referrals to vital social services. Children aged three benefit from our Fit WIC kits, which encourage daily physical activity, while some locations also offer free oral health screenings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and education on maintaining good oral hygiene. We are here to empower families with resources and knowledge to nurture the health of their children.
