About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hollis, NH, offers a transformative opportunity for passionate individuals to become advocates for a just food system through hands-on training and education. This fellowship empowers participants to actively engage in community-driven initiatives such as growing diversified crops on market-style farms, running educational programs, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy among students. With a strong commitment to accessibility, the fellowship does not charge tuition, allowing more individuals to engage in fostering sustainable food practices. Over the course of six months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows immerse themselves in experiential learning, followed by a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their expertise in promoting healthy food access and supporting local food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May through October, cultivating the next generation of food advocates and mentors in a socially, environmentally, and economically just framework.
