About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Kingston, NH, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Without charging tuition, this fellowship fosters accessibility and outreach, offering a comprehensive program in organic food system education. Participants will gain hands-on experience at Allegheny Farm in Virginia, engaging in activities such as growing diversified crops, leading educational sessions on health, managing community gardens, and enhancing food and ecological literacy in local schools. With a focus on building relationships, Fellows will also support farmers' markets and develop distribution channels to improve access to nutritious food within the community. This immersive experience spans six months, followed by a year of applying their learning in collaboration with regional non-profits, making a real impact in the community. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply by March for the program running from May to October.
