About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Milton, NH, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become impactful advocates for a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through this immersive program, selected Fellows engage in six months of hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm, where they gain vital knowledge in organic food systems and community engagement. The Fellowship emphasizes accessibility by eliminating tuition fees, allowing a diverse group of participants to explore sustainable practices such as growing and distributing crops, implementing innovative educational sessions, and enhancing food literacy in schools and communities. Additionally, Fellows are supported in their mentoring roles and encouraged to build partnerships with regional non-profit organizations, promoting initiatives that improve access to healthy foods and strengthen local food networks. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May through October, providing a transformative experience for those passionate about making a difference in their communities.
