About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in New London, NH, we are dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system through education and community engagement. Our program empowers individuals to become influential teachers and advocates for social, environmental, and economic justice in food production. By providing tuition-free training at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, we ensure accessibility for all participants. Over the course of six months, Fellows engage in hands-on learning and immerse themselves in a variety of initiatives, such as growing and distributing diversified crops, supporting farmers markets, and implementing innovative health education programs. Following this intensive training, they will spend a Community Action Year collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world contexts. With a commitment to building healthy, connected communities, our Fellowship supports projects that enhance food access and promote ecological literacy. Applications are accepted until March each year for a transformative experience from May to October.
