About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Newmarket, NH is dedicated to cultivating leaders in a fair and sustainable food system. This transformative program sponsors and trains passionate Fellows to become advocates for environmental, social, and economic justice in food production. Through a fully accessible curriculum that charges no tuition, our Fellowship offers comprehensive education in organic food systems. Participants engage in hands-on experiences, growing diversified crops, running community gardens, and implementing educational initiatives for health awareness. Throughout a six-month immersive residential training at Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows will work alongside regional nonprofit organizations to enhance food access, support farmers markets, and strengthen local communities. Applications are accepted until March each year for an experience that runs from May to October.
