About Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Newport, NH, is dedicated to fostering the health and well-being of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to promote healthy eating practices through vital nutrition education and to provide supplemental food assistance to those in need. We support breastfeeding with dedicated resources, and we connect families to essential social services. As part of our commitment to childhood wellness, we offer Fit WIC kits for children at age three and provide information to encourage daily physical activity. Additionally, select WIC locations provide free oral health screenings, including fluoride treatments and educational resources to ensure good oral hygiene for our young participants.
