About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Peterborough, NH, is dedicated to fostering a sustainable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through this transformative program, we empower Fellows to become educators and advocates while receiving comprehensive training in organic food systems. Without the burden of tuition, we ensure accessibility for those passionate about making a difference. Fellows engage in hands-on learning, growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health education, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational activities. Additionally, they support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, enhancing access to healthy foods across the region. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, selected participants actively collaborate with local non-profits, applying their skills and knowledge to create lasting impact. Applications are welcomed through March each year, with fellowship activities running from May to October.
