About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Pittsfield, NH, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship of the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to nurturing future leaders in sustainable food practices. By offering a tuition-free program, we prioritize accessibility for individuals passionate about creating a food system that is environmentally sound, socially equitable, and economically viable. Over six months, selected Fellows engage in hands-on education at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, and manage community and school gardens. Following this immersive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills alongside local non-profit organizations to champion initiatives that enhance food access, support farmers markets, and foster ecological literacy. Join us in transforming food systems through advocacy, education, and community engagement.
