About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Rochester, NH, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators for a just and sustainable food system. Through a completely tuition-free program, we empower our Fellows with comprehensive organic food system education and practical experience at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA. During the six-month residential training, participants will learn to grow and distribute diversified crops, maintain community and school gardens, and integrate food literacy into educational programs. Our approach emphasizes the importance of supporting local farmers markets and facilitating access to healthy foods through innovative community partnerships. Following their training, Fellows will engage in a Community Action Year, where they apply their knowledge alongside regional non-profit organizations to create real change. Applications are open until March each year for an experience running from May to October, making it accessible for all passionate individuals who want to make a tangible impact on food systems.
