About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Sanbornville, NH, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We provide a transformative educational experience rooted in organic food systems, offering selected Fellows a six-month immersive program at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA. Our initiative is designed to make participation accessible, as we do not charge tuition. During the Fellowship, participants gain hands-on experience in diverse areas including crop cultivation, educational initiatives for healthcare, and the stewardship of community gardens. Furthermore, Fellows are equipped to enhance food and ecological literacy in schools, support local farmers markets, and collaborate with non-profit organizations throughout their Community Action Year. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year, with the opportunity to engage in meaningful work from May to October and to contribute to creating a healthier, more equitable food landscape.
