About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Seabrook, NH, is dedicated to sponsoring and empowering individuals to champion a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our comprehensive program, selected Fellows undergo a six-month, hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain invaluable organic food system education and practical experience. We ensure accessibility by not charging tuition, allowing our participants to focus on their mission: to grow and distribute diverse crops, create educational initiatives for health care innovation, maintain community gardens, and foster food and ecological literacy. Furthermore, our Fellows engage in collaborative projects with local non-profits, enhancing food access and supporting farmers markets. The fellowship culminates with a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their learning in real-world environments, building sustainable local food networks and mentoring future cohorts, ensuring the legacy of food advocacy and community empowerment continues to thrive.
