The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Suncook, NH, is dedicated to cultivating future advocates for a just and inclusive food system. Through hands-on training, this program empowers selected Fellows with essential skills in organic food education, enabling them to grow and distribute diverse crops, develop community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy. Without charging tuition, the Fellowship ensures accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Over the course of six months, Fellows immerse themselves in experiential learning at the AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they partner with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Key initiatives include supporting local farmers markets, enhancing access to healthy foods, and engaging in community food coalition activities, all aimed at fostering a sustainable and equitable food future.
