This unique fellowship provides engaging organic food system education, offering Fellows the opportunity to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, implement health-focused educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy in school activities. The program also supports farmers markets, direct-to-consumer initiatives, and develops improved distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods. Selected Fellows participate in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, culminating in a Community Action Year where they apply their skills alongside regional non-profit partners. The application process closes in March for experiences running from May to October each year, ensuring that this vital training remains accessible and impactful.
