About Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in West Lebanon, NH, is dedicated to promoting healthy food habits and improving the nutritional status of low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and young children from birth to five years of age. Through comprehensive nutrition education, WIC offers supplemental foods that ensure families have access to essential nutrients. Our program also emphasizes the importance of breastfeeding and provides vital support and resources for breastfeeding mothers. Additionally, we connect families to critical social services and health resources. As part of our initiative, children at age three receive Fit WIC kits that encourage daily physical activity. Some WIC locations even offer free oral health screenings, including fluoride treatments and educational resources on maintaining good oral hygiene, empowering families to prioritize their health and well-being.
