About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Wilton, NH, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Through comprehensive training and empowerment, we equip Fellows with the skills to advocate for a food ecosystem that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our unique program offers free tuition, ensuring accessibility to participants. During their six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows engage in organic food system education and gain hands-on experience in various initiatives, such as cultivating diverse crops on market-style farms, running community gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. They also contribute to vital community efforts like supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, where they put their knowledge into practice, partnering with regional non-profit organizations to drive meaningful change. Applications for this transformative experience are accepted until March each year, with the program typically running from May to October.
