The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Windham, NH, empowers aspiring advocates and educators to promote a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through a comprehensive program, we provide Fellows with hands-on training in organic food system education and practical experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Our initiative emphasizes accessibility by waiving tuition fees, allowing diverse participants to engage in meaningful work such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, and enhancing food literacy in schools. During the six-month immersive Fellowship, selected individuals will not only cultivate the essential skills needed for sustainable farming but will also dedicate a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits and supporting initiatives like farmers markets and community gardens. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, equipping fellows with the knowledge and experience to foster increased access to healthy foods in their communities.
