Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors is a vital parenting skills and advocacy initiative located in Bridgewater, NJ, designed specifically for Latino parents with children aged 0 to 5. This evidence-based program empowers parents to become their child’s first teacher and advocates for their educational journey. Through a series of 10 engaging workshops, parents gain essential knowledge on topics such as nutrition, positive discipline, child development, and school readiness, all presented in a culturally relevant context. Offering both virtual and in-person sessions, the program supports participants in understanding their influential role in shaping their children's long-term development and academic success. Upon completion, participants have the opportunity to become facilitators themselves, further enriching their communities. Services are provided at no cost to eligible Latino parents committed to attending all workshops, with offerings available in both English and Spanish, serving Middlesex County and Franklin Township in Somerset County.
