We also offer a range of additional services, including nutrition counseling and education, a pet pantry for furry companions, and a friendly visiting program to combat loneliness. Our clients can access non-perishable groceries, blizzard boxes for emergencies, senior farmers market vouchers, and special holiday meals. Meals are delivered daily by caring volunteers from Monday to Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. At Meals on Wheels of Mercer County, we believe that no senior should face hunger due to financial constraints, which is why we provide subsidized meal options and medically-tailored meals as necessary. There is a non-refundable processing fee during the assessment, but support options through government funding or health care plans, including Medicaid, may be available.
