The Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) in Mercer County is dedicated to supporting the health and nutrition of pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Located in Hightstown, NJ, our program offers essential services including remote nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and access to checks for free nutritious food. We provide health care referrals and immunization screenings to ensure comprehensive care for families in need. Enrollment is open to all income-eligible applicants, with participants receiving checks mailed directly to their homes based on their situation. Recently, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our services have transitioned to a fully remote model, allowing us to continue providing support while prioritizing the safety of our community. Remote certifications and counseling are conducted through secure video applications or phone calls, ensuring accessibility while protecting personal information.
