Astor Community Garden in Jersey City, NJ, is a vibrant public space dedicated to fostering community connections through gardening. Open to all ages, from toddlers to seniors, we cultivate a sense of unity and cooperation as neighbors come together to plant and grow. Our offerings include free gardening seeds and educational resources to empower local residents with the knowledge of sustainable practices. Every Friday evening, we enhance community spirit by providing complimentary juice, and on Saturdays, we distribute fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring that nutritious produce is accessible to everyone in the area. At Astor Community Garden, we believe that the act of growing together not only nourishes the body but also enriches our community bond.
