The Food Service Training Academy in Linden, NJ, is dedicated to combating hunger by equipping individuals with essential culinary and life skills that pave the way for sustainable employment. Our free 15-week training program empowers students aged 18 and older, who possess a high school diploma or GED, with hands-on culinary techniques and certifications such as ServSafe, essential for launching careers in the food industry. Classes run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., hosted at our food bank facility. We also provide transportation assistance to eligible participants, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to gain valuable skills.
