Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) Millville, NJ

About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Based in Millville, NJ, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to empowering individuals to advocate for a fair and sustainable food system. This fellowship offers a comprehensive program that combines organic food system education with hands-on training in various community initiatives. Participants will engage with local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, run educational sessions that bridge health care and food literacy, and maintain school and community gardens. By fostering connections between farmers markets and consumers, as well as developing distribution channels for healthy foods, we aim to increase accessibility and support for community food efforts. Selected Fellows will experience a transformative six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where they will implement what they’ve learned in collaboration with regional non-profits. We believe in the power of grassroots change and see every Fellow as a vital teacher and advocate for a more just food system. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
