Street Smart Outreach is dedicated to supporting youth and young adults aged 13-21 in Plainfield, NJ, who are facing homelessness or unsafe living conditions. Our mission focuses on identifying those in need and ensuring their basic necessities are met. We provide essential services including food assistance, clothing, blankets, access to shelter, and crisis intervention counseling. Our outreach program also offers transportation to critical services, referrals to health care and social service agencies, as well as education on HIV/AIDS and substance abuse. With counselors available 24/7 throughout the year, we aim to connect vulnerable youth with the resources they require to find safety, stability, and a brighter future. Several of our counselors are fluent in Spanish, enhancing our ability to serve the diverse community of Plainfield.
