About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Aztec, NM is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of educators and advocates committed to building a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our Fellowship offers a transformative six-month experiential program, where selected Fellows engage in hands-on learning at our Farm Campus. They receive training in organic food systems, equipping them with the skills to promote food and ecological literacy, establish community and school gardens, and support local food initiatives such as farmers markets and distribution channels for healthy foods. We strive to make this opportunity accessible by not charging tuition, allowing passionate individuals to focus on advocating for increased access to nutritious food and beneficial ecological practices in their communities. Throughout their journey, Fellows collaborate with regional non-profit partners, culminating in a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge and skills to make a tangible impact. Applications are open until March each year, with the program taking place from May to October.
