The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bernalillo, NM, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training and empowerment, we equip selected Fellows with the skills needed to educate and inspire their communities. Our tuition-free program ensures accessibility and offers hands-on experiences, including organic food system education, crop production on market-style farms, and innovative health care educational initiatives. Fellows engage in meaningful work with community partners, from maintaining school and community gardens to developing distribution channels that enhance access to healthy foods. The fellowship culminates in a six-month immersive experience followed by a Community Action Year, allowing participants to apply their training in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, with activities taking place from May to October.
