Located in Capitan, NM, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become advocates for a food system that is just, sustainable, and accessible to all. We offer a transformative six-month experiential program at the beautiful Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows delve into organic food system education, learning to grow diverse crops, manage community gardens, and implement initiatives that promote food and ecological literacy. Our Fellowship particularly emphasizes hands-on experience, allowing participants to work alongside local non-profit organizations during the Community Action Year, where they apply their skills to enhance access to healthy food and strengthen food security in their communities. With a commitment to removing financial barriers, we do not charge tuition for our program, ensuring that our resources are available to a diverse range of aspiring leaders. The application process opens in March, with the Fellowship experience taking place from May to October.
