Located in Chaparral, NM, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers individuals to become impactful advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. This hands-on program offers comprehensive education in organic agriculture, equipping Fellows with the knowledge and skills to champion socially, environmentally, and economically just food practices. Throughout the six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected participants engage in real-world applications, such as cultivating diverse crops on a market-style farm, teaching food and ecological literacy in schools, and supporting local farmers markets. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to further their impact in areas such as food access and community health. With no tuition fees to ensure accessibility, the Fellowship invites passionate individuals to apply and make a difference in their communities, with application deadlines typically in March for experiences running from May to October.
