Located in Columbus, NM, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program offers a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm, providing hands-on training in organic agriculture and community food initiatives without any tuition cost, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Participants will engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing educational programs that link health care with food literacy, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets. After their residency, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations to enhance food access and promote ecological stewardship.
