The Deming Luna County Commission on Aging is dedicated to ensuring that seniors in Columbus, NM, have access to nutritious meals through our Home Delivered Meals program. This vital service caters to individuals aged 60 and older who are homebound and unable to prepare meals for themselves. We provide carefully prepared food delivered in reusable trays that can be easily reheated, with deliveries taking place between 10:30 AM and 12:15 PM, Monday through Friday. For those at risk, we also offer frozen meals delivered on Fridays for the weekend. Seniors residing in the Village of Columbus receive our meals three times a week, with additional frozen meals provided for Tuesday and Thursday. Participation requires a nutrition screening assessment to ensure eligibility, allowing us to serve those with no other means of meal preparation in their homes. We are here to support our senior community with dignified and reliable food assistance.
