The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Crownpoint, NM is dedicated to fostering a sustainable and just food system through education and community engagement. Our program sponsors and trains passionate individuals to become advocates and educators who promote social, environmental, and economic equity in food production. We offer a unique tuition-free Fellowship experience that includes hands-on training in organic farming, community food initiatives, and the development of local food distribution channels. Fellows will engage in activities such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing educational programs in schools, maintaining community gardens, and supporting farmers markets. Over a six-month residential period, followed by a Community Action Year, participants apply their knowledge in partnership with regional non-profits, empowering themselves and the communities they serve. The application period closes in March, with the Fellowship experience running from May to October each year.
