The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Deming, NM, is designed to support individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive, year-long initiative that is both free and accessible in English and Spanish. Participants will benefit from six informative e-booklets tailored to their needs post-diagnosis, along with monthly e-newsletters that provide seasonal tips and valuable resources. The program also highlights local community events to promote engagement and support. Enrollees who share their phone numbers are invited to join the monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A series, offering an opportunity to pose diabetes-related questions to ADA experts, explore the vital connection between diabetes and heart health, and receive helpful giveaways. Our mission is to empower participants with the knowledge and resources they need to manage their diabetes effectively and improve their well-being.
