Meals on Wheels, part of the Chaves County JOY Centers in Dexter, NM, is dedicated to delivering nutritious meals to older adults who are homebound and unable to prepare food for themselves. Our program ensures that every individual in need can receive food assistance, regardless of their ability to contribute financially; we believe that no one should go hungry. A suggested contribution of $2 per day helps sustain our service, but all meals are provided without discrimination. Our compassionate case manager conducts an assessment for every new client to ensure proper support, and once approved, individuals are added to a meal delivery route as soon as space allows. We are here to ensure that our senior community remains nourished and connected, one meal at a time.
