The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in El Prado, NM, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Through hands-on, experiential training at our farm, we empower Fellows to advocate for food justice that is socially, environmentally, and economically sound. Our program offers tuition-free education focused on organic farming and food system development, ensuring accessibility for all. During the six-month residency at our farm campus, selected Fellows gain practical skills in growing diverse crops, establishing community gardens, and implementing innovative health care educational sessions. Additionally, they work on enhancing food literacy in schools, supporting farmers markets, and expanding access to healthy foods across communities. Following this immersive experience, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year to apply their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profits, fostering impactful food initiatives. Applications are welcomed annually until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
