The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Eunice, NM, nurtures the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship offers comprehensive training in organic food systems, empowering participants to become leaders in their communities. By promoting accessibility through no tuition fees, we invite a diverse range of individuals to engage in hands-on learning. Fellows cultivate and distribute a variety of crops, implement health education initiatives, maintain school and community gardens, and elevate food literacy within educational settings. Throughout the immersive six-month program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected fellows gain practical experience before embarking on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local nonprofit organizations to amplify their impact. Applications are open until March, with the program typically running from May to October, allowing passionate individuals to turn their knowledge into action for a healthier future.
