The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship located in Gamerco, NM, is dedicated to fostering the next generation of advocates for an equitable food system. Through our immersive program, we empower Fellows with hands-on training focused on organic agriculture, community engagement, and food justice. Our Fellows, participating in a six-month residential experience, engage deeply in activities such as cultivating diversified crops, conducting educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets. We believe in making this transformative journey accessible, which is why we do not charge tuition. After their intensive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement meaningful food assistance initiatives and enhance access to healthy foods. Applications for the program are due in March, with experiences typically running from May to October, allowing participants to make a direct impact in their communities.
