About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hagerman, NM, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators in sustainable food systems. Offering a transformative experience, this fellowship empowers participants to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Without imposing tuition fees, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring fellows. Throughout their six-month immersive program, selected fellows engage in hands-on learning at our campus, where they will develop skills in organic agriculture, community gardening, and ecological literacy. Beyond the foundational training, fellows participate in a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with local non-profit organizations to implement innovative solutions for increased access to healthy foods, support farmers markets, and promote community food initiatives. Applications are accepted until March each year, kicking off an impactful journey from May to October.
