The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at Holloman Air Force Base, NM, offers a transformative opportunity for participants to gain hands-on education in sustainable agriculture and food systems. This program is dedicated to fostering a food system that is equitable, environmentally sound, and economically viable. Our Fellows receive comprehensive training without tuition fees, ensuring that this vital knowledge is accessible to all. Throughout their six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in growing diverse crops, facilitating community gardens, and conducting educational initiatives focused on food literacy. Following their training, Fellows collaborate with local non-profit organizations during the Community Action Year to implement practical solutions for community food access, support farmers markets, and promote healthy eating. Applications are accepted until March each year, aligning the fellowship experience from May to October, guiding the next generation of food advocates and educators in Holloman and beyond.
