Located in La Luz, NM, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through a hands-on, six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in organic farming practices, community education, and various initiatives that promote food accessibility and ecological literacy. The program facilitates collaborations with local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, support farmers markets, and enhance community gardens. Importantly, there are no tuition fees, ensuring that this vital training is accessible to passionate advocates from all walks of life. Following their fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year to further apply their skills with regional non-profits, making a meaningful impact on food systems in their communities. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
