The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Laguna, NM, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education without tuition costs to promote accessibility, ensuring that aspiring Fellows can focus on impactful community work. Participants engage in hands-on training, where they grow and distribute diverse crops, lead educational initiatives in innovative healthcare, maintain gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into local schools. Additionally, Fellows support farmers markets, enhance access to healthy foods, and collaborate with community food coalitions. Over the course of six months at our experiential Farm and Food Study, followed by a Community Action Year, selected individuals apply their training to partner with regional non-profits, making a tangible difference in their communities. Applications are accepted until March for our fellowship that runs from May to October.
