Sandhill Center offers a specialized residential program for children ages 8-13 who struggle with emotional regulation in their current environments. The program primarily serves children with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, providing comprehensive support through therapeutic interventions, education, medication management, service learning, and recreational activities. Residents participate in weekly individual therapy, family therapy sessions, animal-assisted therapy, and community service opportunities that foster personal growth and social skills. Recreation forms a significant component of the program, with activities including biking, running, games, horseback riding, and field trips to local museums and sporting events. All children attend the on-campus Del Rio Academy, an accredited private school that enhances learning through a blend of experiential activities, technology integration, and traditional classroom instruction. This holistic approach creates a supportive environment where children can develop emotional regulation skills and thrive academically and socially.
